PICKLEBALL
The Batavia Township Community Park is home to three pickleball courts. Pickleball is an up-and-coming sport that is a cross between tennis and ping pong. The Township is currently using SignUpGenius for interested players to coordinate playtime at the courts. However, courts are not reservable. Per the posted rules playing time is limited to one hour if others are waiting; please be considerate of others. The courts are located at the end of the “Sports Complex” parking lot at 1539 Clough Pike – this entrance is just north of the Community Center entrance.

THE JIM BUSHMAN MEMORIAL BASEBALL COMPLEX
The baseball area of the park is known as the Jim Bushman Memorial Baseball Complex. The baseball complex is accessible from the “Sports Complex” parking lot, which is located at 1539 Clough Pike, Batavia. The baseball area consists of four well-maintained baseball fields, three of which are baseball/softball fields, and restroom concession stand facility. The three fields are available for reservation. Information about field reservation and field use can be found by downloading the field use policy which is located on the FORMS PAGE.

The fourth and largest baseball field, is a collegiate-level field and serves as the home of the UC Clermont men’s baseball team. Known as Brian Wilson Field this field was funded by Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce, UC Clermont, and Batavia Township. Jay Bruce sought to have the field named in honor and in memory of Brian Wilson – Brian was the Reds scout who found Jay Bruce. Sadly, Mr. Wilson passed away of a heart attack in 2006. He was 33. A plaque is dedicated to the “home dugout” in Mr. Wilson’s honor and memory. Reservations for Brian Wilson Field are managed through UC Clermont.
