As Township Administrator Rex is responsible for conduct of the day to day operations of the Township Government. Prior to his appointment he served the elected position of Township Clerk. Under direction of the Board of Trustees his duties include working with the Trustees to develop Township policies and implementing the decisions of the Trustees. He also works with the Township’s Fiscal Officer to set the Township budget and oversee its implementation to different departments of the Township. The ultimate goal is the efficient and proper delivery of service to the citizens of the community. Rex works with outside agencies to coordinate current projects and to develop plans for the future. He is the representative for Batavia Township to various local, county and state organizations.

Rex is a lifelong resident of Batavia where he and his wife Kim reside.
